ZACA PRESERVE CUSTOM HOME

Zaca Preserve Custom Home is a modern hillside residence in Santa Barbara County, designed to integrate architecture, landscape, and advanced building systems into a cohesive, site-responsive composition. Set within rolling terrain of oak trees and native grasses, the main residence, guest house, and 1,200-square-foot ADU are stepped into the hillside to minimize visual impact while capturing southwest views.

Developed in collaboration with Dvele Homes, the project explores high-quality modular construction through refined massing, efficient planning, and a seamless indoor-outdoor relationship. Passive orientation, a high-performance envelope, and integrated solar systems support long-term sustainability and energy efficiency.

Zaca Preserve reflects a contemporary approach to custom residential design, prioritizing clarity, restraint, and a strong connection to the surrounding landscape.
