AL HOUARA COASTAL RESORT VILLAS

Located in Tangier, Morocco, the Al Houara Coastal Resort is a beautiful beach-front development with a collection of over 350 luxury custom villas overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and adjacent golf course. The villas took on a contemporary character that was inspired by the progressive trend of the Moroccan users and residential market. Traditional architectural features, like the Moucharabieh, were an integral part of the design that creatively celebrate the Moroccan culture, while complementing the contemporary architecture of the villas. The design used natural colors of plaster and local stones to mimic the local Moroccan landforms and beaches.

The architecture also incorporated accent colors and materials, including metallic handrails, wood doors and aluminum glass windows, to balance the neutral colors as well as reinforcing the desired contemporary characters.

The villas sit on various lot sizes, measuring between 456 to 782 square meters. Six different designs and floor flans, ranging from 253 to 550 square meters, were proposed to provide multiple options for all family types and sizes. Depending on the lot and villa sizes, each unit consists of three to four bedrooms with master suite, kitchen, dining, living/great room, family room and optional office space. Ample outdoor terraces, balconies and swimming pool were created to enhance the occupants’ outdoor living and activities as well as the beautiful views of the surrounding ocean and golf course.
