BEECH AT THE CANNERY

Davis, CA

The Cannery in Davis, California is one of the region’s first farm-to-table residential communities, designed to integrate housing, open space, and local food production into a connected neighborhood environment. The master plan surrounds homes with parks, trails, and a working community farm, creating a landscape where agriculture, recreation, and residential living coexist. Every home is located within 300 feet of a park or trail, with direct connections to Davis’s extensive bicycle network, reinforcing the city’s strong culture of cycling and outdoor activity.

Plan 2 at Beech at The Cannery is a compact corner home designed to maximize natural light and spatial efficiency. The plan includes a den or optional guest suite near the entry, flexible living spaces, and a garage alcove designed for bike storage. The homes feature short driveways, zero-lot-line planning, and reciprocal use easements, allowing shared outdoor spaces between residences.

The architecture reflects a California Farmhouse style inspired by the historic character of Davis, reinforcing the agricultural heritage of the community.
