EXTREME MAKEOVER: HOME EDITION, HAWAII

Oahu, Hawaii

This community-focused project in Hawaii included the construction of a Hawaiian plantation-style home alongside a nonprofit headquarters designed to support family services for local children and parents. The development created both a welcoming residence and a dedicated community facility within a single project.

The project represented the largest build in the history of the program, consisting of a 3,500-square-foot plantation-style home, located in the Kalihi Valley and an adjacent 4,500-square-foot nonprofit community headquarters. The buildings provide space for family support programs, community services, and gathering areas for local families.

Both structures were completed in an extraordinary 106 hours of continuous construction, demonstrating the power of collaboration and community commitment.

JZMK Partners partnered with Brookfield Hawaii to deliver the project, helping create a facility that supports families while reflecting the architectural character and traditions of the Hawaiian Islands.

Through the integration of plantation-style architecture, community programming, and nonprofit services, the project provides a lasting resource for local families and children.
