Purgatory Ski Resort Condominiums is a mountain residential community in Durango, Colorado, designed by JZMK Partners to maximize views, access, and livability within a challenging alpine site. Located within walking distance of the Purgatory ski lodge and slopes, the project offers a true resort-oriented living experience.
The development includes 48 condominium units across two five-story buildings, with ground-level parking and four levels of residential units. The steep hillside site, with over 60 feet of elevation change, informed a design strategy that positions homes to capture panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
Four floor plans range from approximately 800 to 1,500 square feet, offering one- to three-bedroom layouts with open living spaces. Large outdoor decks extend from primary living areas, reinforcing the connection to the landscape.
The architecture blends natural materials, warm tones, and contemporary mountain design, creating a cohesive and elevated alpine community.
