JZMK Partners has designed 48 Condominiums to be built on a small parcel of land at the Purgatory Ski Resort in Durango, Colorado. The 48 units are split between two 5-story buildings with 4-stories of units, and parking on the ground floor. Designing for this hillside parcel was quite challenging, with as much as 60 feet of fall across the small site, but the payoff is in the spectacular panoramic views from virtually all of the condos perched atop the mountainside community. The community offers 4 plans that range from 800SF-1,500SF and offer 1-3 Bedrooms and residents will enjoy being within walking distance to the ski lodge and slopes. The floor plans have been designed to be open and spacious with as many rooms oriented towards the views as possible. In addition, large outdoor decks have been integrated adjacent to the main living areas to provide opportunities for enjoying the fresh mountain air and sweeping views of the mountains and valleys. The design incorporates warm, natural colors and materials, and mixes traditional design aesthetics with contemporary detailing.
