YOGA TOWN

Changsha Wanye Yoga Town is a 58.9-hectare (145.5-acre) master-planned community in Changsha, China, located within the Taiyangshan Forest Park District in Wangcheng County. Designed by JZMK Partners, the plan responds directly to the site’s diverse terrain, creating a multi-layered residential community integrated with landscape and wellness-oriented living.

The development is organized into three distinct yet connected villages, each tailored to its natural context. The southern zone activates former terraced rice fields with a higher-density mid-rise residential community, while the central zone introduces townhomes within a transitional hillside landscape. The northern zone features low-density, grade-adapted hillside homes carefully integrated into the steep, vegetated terrain.

A network of open space corridors and a central spine road connects the villages, supporting accessibility, recreation, and community cohesion.

Together, these elements establish a landscape-driven, mixed-density master plan rooted in wellness, connectivity, and environmental responsiveness.
